Interesting study. Back in the olden days when I was training to be a psychi nurse I did a large project on Spiritual Care and discovered that those with a healthy religious practice were better able to fight depression and far less likely to self harm or attempt suicide.
I'm trying to remember a LONG time ago-but I think there was even a study that showed prayer actively assisted people with anxiety.
